Introduction
Growing up, there was an abundance of stories, especially mythological. And I always thought it was because everyone loved it; my grandfather, my mother, all the other adults and the children. But not every child growing up in that household got carried away with it the way I did. I realised, late in life, it was something that only I loved as much as I did.
Through my childhood I absorbed it all greedily. And once I could read, I read everything that had a story which was set in a time way before my time. The notion of a past just fascinated me and if I knew I could I would have become a historian/cartographer/archeologist person.
In the last few years, from 2012 to be exact, I have reignited that love. I read history, geography, human evolution, and everything related to how we got here, who we are and how life fought for survival and flourished.
As I get older I feel like the answers that I seek are in the past and not in the future. So I delve.
This series is an ongoing archiving of this journey. If I am honest, this is more for me, but I do sincerely hope you find it fun to read too. Some are books, some travels and some just unplanned Google searches.
